Sleep: Good or Evil??

Sometimes I wonder!

I'm a big fan of sleep. Oh yeah, when it's good...it's SO GOOD.

But sometimes, it's oh so bad.

Those of you who know me well know that I am usually not a good sleeper. Especially during the week. At night my mind just races and wanders and goes and goes.

I am a major night owl, going to be anywhere from 1am to 3am is good for me. I love staying up late.

Trouble is, during the week, I have to get up at 6am, so staying up late isn't an option.

Hence, why sleep is evil sometimes. I just can't seem to fall asleep!!

Remember Chandra? When we were roomies in University?? I was so jealous how two seconds after she layed her head on her pillow she was sleeping peacefully.

I laid in my bed, earplugs in, with sleeping pills, and I was still wide eyed. Man, I do not miss those nights.

Back to present day sleeping woes. Had the hardest time falling asleep the other night. Finally, around 1am I fell asleep. Only to wake up at 2am, and I stayed up until 3:30. Once I was awake, I just couldn't get back to sleep. I eventually wandered out into the living room and passed out on the couch until 5am.

Last night, I fell asleep quick. I mean in 15 minutes quick.

Sounds good right?

Not really.

Woke up at 3am when Jamie got home from work (yes he worked 19 hours straight). Then awoke again at 5, when the power went out. Then back up again at 6, when the alarm clock rang.

What did I do then?

Fell back asleep.

Yep, I overslept, and almost missed my ride to work.

Sleep: Good or Evil??

I still don't know.

after reading this i feel so lucky that i am a relatively easy sleeper.
