in a blink

2010 passed us by

the quickest yet most content fill year yet.
having a new life in 2010 has made the world speed up, yet slow down all at once.
we have experienced so much with this new life that the world seems to have flown by....a high speed photo montage if you will
a scene out of lost in translation
2010 is pegged as our number one year so far

i am fist pumping into 2011....

in 2010....
-we watched our baby celebrate 12 months of life

-we landscaped,

after 4 years of residency in Charlo
-i got bangs
-jamie recovered from his atv accident
-i completed a food and safety audit at work and received certification (!)
-we got a new ride
-i completed maternity leave and went back to work full time; avery goes to daycare
-we went to see the windmills over thanksgiving
-went on an all girls road trip to halifax
-watched our friends move away
-hiked up dalhousie mountain....err hill

etsy has been a love of mine for years. lately, i find myself (daily) pouring over the growing amount of goodies that grace their site. handmade, vintage treasure troves. in a perfect world i would buy one thing each day. not only to fill my house with goodies, but also to support all etsy shop owners who dedicate their job/hobby to sharing such creativity with the world.

at one...

-avery says dadda (all the time), mama (rarely), with lots of gibberish in between
-is a daredevil and will climb/jump on anything he can find, or whatever stands in his way
-loves milk and apple juice
-is enraged by tasks he can't complete (opening the fridge, flushing entire toilet paper rolls down the toilet, eating every remote control in sight)
-has been on a six month crawling spree but lacks the confidence (or need?) to walk
-weighs 24 lbs
-loves his bath, but not that interested in story time
-hates to wear his hat (not a good idea in frosty canada)
-loves to laugh and make faces
-is obsessed with cars, especially tiny ones that pose a choke hazard
-will follow you wherever you go, so don't try to get away
-makes my day so bright
