She's HOME!!!

She is hiding but she is really here!!

CHANDRA is back!!!! My Awesome Friend, Cousin & Bridesmaid is here!! Ahhhhhhhh is was sooooooooooo nice to see her and give her a big huge hug!! It's been 10 long months since she moved away, but now she is here for TWO WEEKS!!

So so HAPPY!

Part 1 of 2...

Jana threw me my first bachelorette party last night!! WOo!! One of two--next Saturday a few of us girlies are heading to Moncton to do some shopping, eating and drinking! I can't wait!

Last night was a little get together type thing at Jana's house.

Hawaiian themed of course! Wait til you see how cute I looked in my little hawaiian veil!

Jana did a great job with the theme---lots of decorations, and lei's for guest, and yummy slushie pina colada's! Fun stuff.

She had the dirtiest (is that a word? Ha!) tell all game! It was question cups--each cup had a question on it. And the rules were that they person drinking the cup and the bride had to answer the questions. The first question? Have you ever had sex in an elevator??

Told ya it was dirty!

We'll definitely be using these questions with us this weekend.

Okay, okay I blabbered enough!! Time for some pics!!

She is sooooooooo amazing!!

Our wedding photographer that is! The fab Shelley Rankin! We just chatted on the phone for two hours and she was saying about the storyboard she created for us that she posted on her photography blog. Being so busy, I hadn't checked out her blog in a few weeks (sorry girl!), but she told me about this storyboard so I had to check it out right away. Not only is it beautiful and awesome and drop dead amazing, but she is getting it framed and is giving it to us for the wedding!!!!! Lets all just say awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww..... Isn't she cool!? Such a good friend! Thanks Shelley! Can't wait to see it.

2nd challenge!!

Testing...1,2,3

I don't know if I mentioned it here before but for our wedding favors we are giving out caramel apples.

Fitting with the 'rustic elegance' wedding theme don't ya think?

So, tonight was the recipe testing session. The came out pretty good!

learned a few things that will be helpful when I make them all for the wedding.....

-The recipe I had was for 10 apples, and even when I cut it in half it still made 10 apples, so I only need half the ingredients (sweet!).
-I used a touch too much sweet milk
-I should have used my smaller pot so it would have been easier to dip the apples in and get more of the apple covered.
-I should have let it cook about 3 minutes longer, just so the caramel could have hardened more.

Pretty glad I did this little run through! It'll make things easier when I'm making 100 caramel apples two days before the wedding!! LMAO!!

The dreaded wedding nightmares...

oooppff they were bad last night.

Everyone was late for the rehersal, the wedding planner did a Sh!t job of decorating, I hadn't finished buying gifts for the wedding party, etc.

And my the flowers were pink & purple!!!! gross, I was crying like a baby, lol.

Someone rushed to the super store and bought a whole bunch of orange gerber daisies.

I hate those dreams, the ones where you toss and turn and you wake up sweaty.

Ick, and then the wedding mishaps haunt you all day!

great.

For real

-having a day off and be lazy around the house just makes me feel fat. Even though I got tons of wedding stuff done and I cleaned! Just being in here all day makes me feel crappy.

-However, between tomorrow and Saturday I got 60 hours to work, so I will be wishing I was sitting home being lazy!

-lots of phone calls to make tomorrow--finishing up wedding stuff

-ki contest album being shipped tomorrow! Woo! Wish me luck ppl.

-26 days until we get married, still can't wrap my mind around that. We have been engaged for almost 3 years, I've been semi planning the wedding for two of those years and planning hard since last september. It's gonna be weird when it is all over and I will have no planning to do! No more wedding stress.

-just moving on to be a wife...crazy eh? I'm gonna be a wife!! I'm gonna get me a mother in law, a sister in law, brother in law, even a niece and nephew!!!

26 days to go, can you believe it?!?!

So, I'm part of this new blog....

A group of woman, doing these really 'in depth' scrapbooking challenges. Really out there, and digging deep.

We have completed one challenge so far, and I'm really liking it.

Check us out!

Did I mention the condom?

Quite the title eh?

I can't remember if I told the Bridal Shower condom story! I received my fair share of condoms, but this one takes the cake!

It was the second gift I opened (from my crazy aunt Stella). There was a box in the bag and written on it said "Open me first, and promise to use me on your wedding night..."

I was actually scared to open it. So I unwrapped the box, and it looked like it was a big empty ring box.

I slowly opened it up and inside was a condom with a LARGE HOLE IN IT!!

hahahaha

remember...'use me on your wedding night?'

lol, so the second part of the gift was get this....

BABY CLOTHES!!!

My family is so nutty!!

Definitely a memorable present.

more stuff....

<------I stole this picture from Jana's blog. My memory card was full by the end of my Bridal shower, so Jana snapped some for me with her Nikon.

This picture is from the cool-ass present that Jana gave me. It is a wicker stool/storage cube, a 'bistro' sign, a MM Chocolate Brown Leather album, a red funky bucket with matching juice jar and a cute little red jam jar, and a bulletin board that matches the 'bistro' sign. Can't wait to have a home so I can fill it up with this cool stuff!!

Other gifts included...
-a whole bunch of casserole dishes
-3 sets of drinking glasses
-lingerie (WOOOO!!!) and a silk robe
-a whole bunch of kitchen stuff (measuring cups, etc)
-2 bride & groom figurines
-Baking stuff & recipe organizer
-a blender
-dessert plates & cake tray
-a clock & a frame print
-3 piece canister set
-funky handmade huge photo album, & basket and a handmade quilt (from my grandmere!)
-A SEWING MACHINE!
-pizza stone
-toaster (we actually didn't have a toaster!)
-spaghetti jar
-4 picture frames & a photo album
-candy dish & dip set
-magnetic spicerack
-a whole bunch of white fluffy towels
-sweet red leather magazine holder
-cheeseplates
-Mr. Clean Magic Mop ( so wanted one of those )
-food processor
-cocktail shaker (from the pets, haha)
-2 sets of funky red dishes (I got a red theme going on I guess!)

And a bunch of cash.

Still can't get over it all. My mom won't let me take anything back to the apartment, well not like we have room for most of it. She wants to keep it all there until the wedding so everyone can see what we got at the shower. I went up last night and was looking at the presents again, I'm still shocked we got that much stuff! So crazy.

Oh, and while I was up there last night (my mom wasn't home) I snuck my sewing machine home. I had to try it out!
